St. Therese of Lisieux once said that "the beginning of all holiness is humbly admitting that without God we can do nothing, but that with, in, and through him, everything is possible." One danger most young people leaving home for the first time and going to college fall into is leaving God out of their lives. Many students get the notion that once they are on their own at college, they can drop everything they did at home, including God. DO NOT DROP GOD!

You need God in your life now as much as ever. Don't drop the good stuff that got you this far. True, you might have questions about religion you never had before and you might want to know the "why" behind certain things. That just means you're being called to a more mature level of faith and understanding. Unfortunately, the university won't provide answers to your religious questions, so you'll have to do the digging on your own. That's why Catholic Campus Ministry at CWU (aka the Newman Center) is here.

We hope these scheduled spiritual activities would help you not only safeguard your faith, but also grow in holiness while in college!
