Mission
of Campus Ministry
Here at Catholic Campus
Ministry (CCM) we believe in encouraging a warm,
supportive and welcoming environment to students of all
faiths and denominations. We strive to bring the light
of Christ to those we encounter with a positive attitude
and a hearty smile. We firmly believe in the words of
St. Catherine of Siena: "If you are what you should be,
you will set the world on fire..."
Catholic Campus
Ministry offers a wide array of events open to all
members of the student or faculty population of CWU.
Some regular events include but are not limited to:
Rosary:
We hold a student-led Rosary group every week to
celebrate the sanctity of Mary and to further grow in
our faith journey.
Bible Study:
We have an interactive and student-led Bible Study every
week for those interested. Bible study topics vary.
Guest
Speakers:
Several times every quarter we have guest speakers to
help educate the community about our Catholic faith and
beliefs.
Mass:
CCM holds Mass on campus every Sunday night at 7:00 PM
during the academic year. Mass is held at the
SURC 215D (a new venue). Mass is also celebrated Tuesday-Friday at noon
at the CCM House.
Basketball:
A group of students get together once a week to play a
game of basketball at one of our local elementary
schools. Everyone is welcome.
Social Events:
One night a week CCM holds a social event ranging from
rock climbing, dodge ball, Mariners game, movies, and
much much more!
Praise
and Worship:
Several times a quarter Praise and Worship is held at
the house. Come and praise God through scripture and
song.
Retreats:
Once a quarter students come together for a weekend
experience to share and grow in their faith in God and
in community.
